Butterfly/Flower Compression Marbles With Sabina Boehm

In this two-day workshop, students will explore several different applications of a well known technique, compression…specifically used for making flowers and butterflies. Success lies in the details with this technique and we will cover ALL of them! Variations on stringers and placement yields different results.

Intermediate/advanced flame workers will make the most progress in this class, however, this workshop is open to ANYONE with basic flame working knowledge. Students will be encouraged to work at their own levels. We will also focus on a fundamental understanding of your flame and core heat. An emphasis on “striking” and getting the most out of your color will be addressed. Students should be comfortable working with rod.

Total cost of the workshop is $400 per person. A $200 deposit is required to secure your spot. Remainder due by May 15th. Please note that $100 of the tuition is non-refundable up until May 15th, at which time the entire deposit becomes non-refundable. All materials are included.
