SHOT GLASSES

Shot glasses are a popular item in the glass community. Join us and we’ll show you how to create awesome pieces to add to your collection! This is a 4-hour workshop with a couple of small breaks.

Like many of our workshops, this one is great for learning the basics of blowing borosilicate glass with a torch. We will work off the end of a glass tube, as well as discuss “pulling points” from a tube in order to make bubbles from which to work. Plan to have lots of fun, learn a lot, break some glass, and make some beautiful one-of-a-kind shot glasses.

We will have a few live demos during the class, as well as hand-outs for everyone.

NOTE: You may sign up for shot glasses only for $200.00. You may also choose to sign up for the 2-Day Vessels workshop on November 1st and 2nd. If you sign up for the entire weekend (2 classes total), there’s a small discount on tuition (see class options below).

THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT CLASS: If you do decide to register, you’ll need to know/bring the following:

* A pair of UV-protected sunglasses

* Tie your hair back if it’s long

* Wear comfortable, cotton clothing (synthetics are flammable) and closed-toe shoes

* Bring a bottle of water

As a general rule of thumb, please do not come to class if you know you are sick or running a fever.

PICKING UP YOUR WORK: Glass needs to cool properly so there’s a 24 hour wait time for pick up. Any work left at the studio after 30 days will be considered abandoned. For the sake of keeping our small studio spacious and organized, abandoned items will be discarded appropriately.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Tuition IS refundable until September 15, 2025, at which time it becomes non-refundable.
