Max Boyce
I grew up on the Northside of Chicago and came down south to study at Loyola University New Orleans. I am an Artist and Educator currently partnering with Tulane University and Nolaworks to instruct students on Glassworking and Metalworking respectively. My experience in these mediums provides me with a unique opportunity to further push the limits of making in glass.
These slump vessels are the result of a nuanced process I have developed that looks to alter the rigid relief of fabricated steel molds to present a more dynamic artifact.
Glass vase created using the casting method by artist, Max Boyce. These guys have a good weight to them so they’ll sit nicely on a table, side table, or shelf.
Vase “A” stands about 8” wide and about 6.5” tall.
Vase “B” lays on its side and is about 7.5” wide and sits 5.5” tall.
